NORTH FORSYTH – Single lane closures will be ongoing Tuesday and Wednesday in north Forsyth to allow construction crews to build a second supportive concrete footing on Boling Bridge.

Boling Bridge on Dawsonville Highway (Hwy. 53) connects Forsyth and Hall counties. Contractors with Scott Bridge Company will begin traffic control at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24 until 6 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, according to Katie Strickland, a spokeswoman for the Georgia Department of Transportation.

“The work to pour the concrete support or caisson, will warrant single lane closures beginning at Dogwood Trail and ending at Little Hall Park,” Strickland said.

The work will be done weather permitting.

Flagging operators will direct traffic, and a pilot truck may also be used during the overnight construction work.

GDOT cautioned motorists to drive alert, as workers will be in close proximity to travel lanes, and there may be delays.
