FORSYTH COUNTY -- A local non-profit tasked with helping adoptions and foster families has a new leader.
Supporting Adoption and Foster Families Together, or SAFFT, of Forsyth County has promoted former-COO Brian Anderson to CEO and executive director of the organization.
“Moving into this new role is truly an honor. I look forward to growing the program to the most transformative model in Georgia that truly rebuilds broken families in crisis. If we can stop the cycle of abuse in a family, we can impact the next generation for decades. But let's not just do this for one family; let's help thousands of families,” Anderson said in a news release.
Previously, Anderson helped build and scale the organization’s programming, managed staff and led the effort to open a Hall County center.
He will replace his wife, Ashley Anderson, who founded the organization and operated it for eight years before stepping down last August. She will continue to serve in a part-time development role and will help with the direction of strategic programming.
More information on the group can be found at SAFFT.org.
